welcome to phillips academy!
if you are reading this, then we are pleased to know you have an interest in becoming part of the phillips academy family. with there being so many options for schooling these days, you may be wondering why you should stick with us and hopefully by the time you finish reading this you will have your answers. for starters, if you are looking for a large campus with virtually an endless amount of clubs and activities to get involved in then you're in luck! if you enjoy and are interested in a strong community environment, then you have come to the right place. if you’re ready to become part of an incredibly unique, elite, and challenging school that will not only prepare you for college but for the rest of your life as well, then you should definitely read further. at phillips academy we love and enjoy helping out our students who enjoy learning, being challenged and sharing their educational journeys with others. we know that everyone is different, and you do not need to be a genius by any means, but in order to get the full phillips experience you do need to be curious, passionate, and being opinionated never hurts either. to sum it up for you, we want students who take their education just as seriously as we take our jobs and take it personally, because while we are all in this together it is up to you the student to decide how far you want your education to take you.
bluecard is a community based around the juniors and seniors of a prestigious boarding academy. the rules for this community are going to be simple, since we trust you know enough of them by now. we think it's common sense to make sure the ic/ooc line is never blurred, so make sure to keep the two separate. in order to apply, you'll need both an ic username and screen name, as well as some sort of information about your character (be it listed facts, a bio, or even a survey). examples will also need to be presented, so make sure to add us to your compilation journals! updates will need to be made every three weeks, but these can be anything from multiple paragraphs to one liners; treat your journal as you think your character would treat it. we will have a point system set up so that you will be able to collect points every time you update, post in the sub-communities, start threads, or even comment on the friends' page. once you have accumulated enough points, you will be able to turn them in for prizes. facebook will also play a role in this community. while it is not mandatory by any means, we definitely encourage it for further interaction. our main concern is to keep everything here active and fun, so we want to be able to see that everyone is participating and having a good time!
